About me
Marine Biologist (USC) and PhD in Biological Sciences (shark ecology; UVIGO). Researcher in ecology, behaviour and conservation of oceanic predators (mainly sharks), and the interaction with fisheries. My academic and research activity is focused on understanding the behavioural mechanisms and the ecology of marine predator movements. Particularly I am interested in the spatial behaviour of oceanic sharks, as the case of shortfin mako (Isurus oxyrinchus) and blue shark (Prionace glauca), as well as other elasmobranch species and predators. I regularly get involved in scientific tagging surveys as fieldwork specialist or scientific pro-diver. Co-funder of Blue Ecology and curator of iNaturalist.
